Accreditation

The Australian Physiotherapy Council is the accreditation authority of the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (the Board). It accredits education providers and programs of study for the physiotherapy profession. The Australian Physiotherapy Council works with the Board to deliver accreditation functions under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (the National Law).

The Accreditation page on the Ahpra website has information on accreditation including on the roles of an accreditation authority and National Board.

Finding approved Programs of Study

An online search has information on all Board approved programs of study.

The Physiotherapy Approved Programs of Study list has information about programs of study approved by the Board.

Programs of study labelled "Inactive" are not included in the Physiotherapy Approved Programs of Study list. An online search tool is available for Inactive Programs of Study for programs that are no longer delivered by an Education Provider or are no longer approved by the National Board.

Accreditation standards

The Australian Physiotherapy Council develops accreditation standards for physiotherapy. The Accreditation Standard for physiotherapy, guidelines for accreditation and other documents on accreditation are available on the Guidelines & Resources page of the Australian Physiotherapy Council website.

Please use the Contact page on the Australian Physiotherapy Council website if you have any questions.

Information on Accreditation Standards is available on the Board website.
